Even though Wilberforce Bulldogs collected nine hits to Lincoln University Lions's eight, they still fell 15-5 on Friday. A single by Jefry Azcona put Lincoln on the board in the top of the second. Orlando Olvera stepped on the mound first for Wilberforce. The lefty allowed four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking six. Dennis Flores began the game for Lincoln. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 11 and walking none. The Bulldogs collected nine hits in the game. Marques Smith went 1-for-2 at the plate as the infielder led the team with two runs batted in. Daunte Ward stole two bases. The Bulldogs stole four bases in the game. Gio Morales led Lincoln with two hits in six at bats from the leadoff position. Azcona and Miguel Agramonte each drove in two runs for the Lions. Azcona paced Lincoln with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 18 walks for the game. Azcona, Leon mcKnight, and Wesley Hogan each stole multiple bases for Lincoln. The Lions stole 11 bases in the game.
