Xenia, Ohio-The Wilberforce Bulldogs Baseball team took on the Wright State Lake University Lakers on Wednesday afternoon at Athlete's In Action Sports Complex. The Bulldogs scored nine runs on eight hits to win the ball game. Freshman Pitcher, DeMarion Redmond pitched eight innings to pick up the win. 

Baseball has returned to Wilberforce after an 80 year hiatus and the young Bulldogs have started this season off playing solid baseball. The season is early the but the Wilbeforce Baseball team is currently ranked #20 in all of HBCU Baseball (excluding Division 1 teams) and ranked #10 among HBCU NAIA schools, according to this weeks Black College Nines rankings. The Black College Nines is a well respected website that covers HBCU Baseball.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday as they take on Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky
